Women having acupuncture while undergoing IVF increase their chances of getting pregnant by over 60%, according to new research. Experts found evidence of success for women who had acupuncture within one day of embryo transfer. “Current preliminary evidence suggests that acupuncture given with embryo transfer improves rates of pregnancy and live birth among women undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
Beginning preparation 3 months before starting your IVF course would be ideal, but a lot can be done if you are just about to start treatment so don’t panic if this is the case for you.
Three months is recommended as this give me enough time to address the variety of different factors that may be affecting your fertility. I also like to address any problems caused by previous IVF treatments.
‘I saw Amanda after 2 failed IVF attempts, she was fantastic, I got pregnancy on my 3rd attempt which unfortunately lead to a miscarriage but got pregnant again on my next go and Amanda supported me throughout and I had a healthy set of twins who are now nearly 5!!! Thank you xxx’ Sarah, Harrogate
Acupuncture treatment is ideally recommended both before and after embryo transfer as research has demonstrated that having acupuncture at this time significantly increases the chances of pregnancy.
