I’m Amanda Farrar, an Acupuncture, EFT & Hypnotherapy Practitioner based in Harrogate and I’ve spent the last 20 years empowering people just like you to overcome many health issues.
I offer an integrated approach to help you feel relaxed, energised and free of pain.
I qualified in 2001, after 4 years of study, from the Northern College of Acupuncture (NCA) in York with a Diploma in Acupuncture and a Certificate of Massage & Acupressure. More recently I qualified as an EFT Practitioner and Hypnotherapist.
In addition to running my private practice, I worked as a regional supervisor and guest lecturer at the NCA for a number of years.
In 2009 I participated as one of the team of acupuncturist carrying out research on the effectiveness of acupuncture for Depression. This research was funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), the research arm of NHS.

If you want treatment from a properly trained and insured Acupuncture Practitioner ensure they are a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
Many Physiotherapist, Chiropractors, Osteopaths & GP’s see Acupuncture as just an add on to their expertise and therefore tend to only attend a couple of weekend trainings compared to the 4 years of training I completed.
